What We Believe
Statement of Beliefs.
We Believe
Just as a baby born in the natural, every Believer in Christ Jesus begins his journey as a baby (spiritually) and must of necessity grow up into full maturity. John 3:3-6, Hebrews 5:12-14.
We Believe
The yardstick for growth of the Believer in Christ is his conformity to the image of Christ. The more Christ-like he becomes in thoughts and actions, the more growth he has attained. Ephesians 4:11-15, 1 Corinthians 11:1.
We Believe
Prayer and Study of God’s word are the two fundamental provisions of God for the growth/edificatoin of the Believer. Songs, hymns, drama etc. are derivatives and are only as beneficial as much as they are consistent with God’s word. 1 Peter 2:2, Jude 1:20, Acts 6:4.
We Believe
The fundamental provisions of God for the growth of the believer must be engaged in consistently, otherwise, there will be little or no growth. And among other things, Community helps the Believer to achieve these neeeded consistencies. Matthew 4:4, Luke 18:1, Acts 2:41-47.
